It’s only February but Spring is definitely in the air here in the French Alps. Warm air and sunshine are drying out the lower trails so this week we’re putting our fat bikes in the cellar and dusting off the mountain bikes. Our 2025 season is filling-up nicely but we still have summer availability for those of you who are yet to book this years mountain bike adventure.

This season Jamie is really excited to be be guiding our Tour of Monte Rosa for the first time in a few years. Long term friend of Ride the Alps, Rodrigo, will be bringing his group of Brazilian mountain bikers to ride this spectacular bike-packing adventure (photos below). We’ll also be running our first Family Mountain Biking Adventure for two more old friends of Ride the Alps; Alison and Gerry will be bringing their son to try out the most family-friendly trails of the Haut Giffre valley and the Grand Massif.

We also have plenty of two-wheeled family adventures planned for the coming season. In April we’ll be heading off on our annual family bike tour with Mary’s Dad, one of the fastest 84 year olds on two wheels. Still no e-bike required! This year we’ll be riding the trails and visiting the chateaux of the Loire Valley. Some easy pedalling to start the season. In May, we hope to explore the fantastic network of trails in the Bike Kingdom of eastern Switzerland with the kids. We’re in the midst of planning a two month bespoke self-guided mountain biking adventure for Eric from the US. He’s keen to include Chur, Lenzerheide and Arosa in his itinerary so it gives us a good excuse to ride there ourselves.

If you would like us to organise your own self-guided trip, or if you’re keen to ride one of our guided tours, please do get in touch. For guided trips, we have summer availability in mid-June, July and mid-end of September.
